JOB SUMMARY
As a Sales Associate at Level 1, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers, delivering exceptional service, and contributing to the overall sales goals of the company. You will be responsible for greeting customers, understanding their needs, recommending products, and closing sales transactions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively communicate with customers and account managers by responding promptly to calls and emails.
- Handle customer requests, understand their needs, and check previous quotes and orders in SAP, SharePoint, or project folders for accuracy.
- Obtain costing quotes from vendors through the purchasing department, apply selling prices to customer quotes per price lists, tools and defined guidelines, and prepare necessary documents for each quote.
- Enter relevant opportunities into Salesforce following established procedures.
- Assist account managers by reviewing purchase orders for accuracy as required.
- Record sales orders meticulously in SAP, send confirmations to customers and internal stakeholders, maintain organized files.
- Request SAP item numbers through the Item and BOM Specialist using specified procedures and guidelines.
- Submit purchase requests through SAP accurately and in line with procedures. Discuss any concerns with account managers and commercial leadership.
- Perform SAP Business One tasks and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Adhere strictly to safety policies (Crown & OSHA) or customer-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Engineered Solutions and other CPM business units via remote means and occasional travel to other offices.
- Travel to customer or vendor sites for training.
- Perform other duties as assigned to provide support and assistance across the commercial team for all four segments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, or project management is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers and improve operational efficiency.
- Flexible and capable of adapting to change.
- Takes initiative and works well in a matrixed environment with guidance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Able to handle technical inquiries and problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred familiarity with SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Salesforce, or other CRM systems, and field service management software is preferred.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language (European or Asian) is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, domestically or internationally, up to 5% of the time.
