JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Product Manager  – Consumables is the owner of the CPM global consumables go-to-market strategy. This product portfolio includes pellet dies, roller shells, hammermill hammers, screens and their associated accessories.

The Global Product Manager – Consumables is responsible for fully understanding the overall market, product development roadmap, competitive landscape, capacity requirements, and key differentiators needed ensure the long term success of the CPM consumables product portfolio. They will be responsible for developing processes related to the product management of dies across all regions and understanding the needs of our customers. The Global Product Manager – Consumables will report directly to the VP of Aftermarket but work closely across both the division and complete CPM Enterprise. They will ultimately be accountable to drive the success of the business through Sales, Marketing and Operational teams.  

This position will review the company’s & competitive install-base, assess what the product portfolio should be, create a strategy and execute. This will be accomplished through the creation of unique concepts for selling CPM consumables and providing clear direction to the support team. 

This position will have direct accountability for the global CPM consumables business and will act both strategically and as an independent contributor to ultimately achieve success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Owner of the global consumables go-to-market strategy, including full product ownership, pricing, competitive landscape, differentiators and margin.
  • Work with sales teams and other market data avenues to understand and synthesize the market needs into a cohesive vision for CPM consumables product.
  • Manage consumables product portfolio and provide insight to engineering on designs .
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure global capacity matches needed revenue growth.
  • Develop a three-year roadmap for our products to illustrate our vision and plan
into the future.
  • Manage and develop new projects through to production, working closely with global customers and the global support organization.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as marketing, engineering and sales on the creation of compelling collateral, marketing, and overall positioning of the product portfolio.
  • Gain market intelligence through attending and representing CPM at promotional events, customer interaction and market research.
  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from sunsetting legacy products to
prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas.relationships.
  • Understand our global and regional positions relative to competitors and market share
  • Know why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement by growing the consumables market share globally with a focus on areas such as Vietnam, India, EU, Brazil, SA..
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers, be able to present both product and project information accurately and with confidence
  • Develop business cases, market and product intelligence to drive key business decisions
  • Manage the release of new products for global and regional markets, including ownership of the material master in SAP.
  • Be a market expert on his/her products to develop an overall pricing strategy, targeted price points, and unique selling points of assigned products
  • Train relevant internal personnel on the product portfolio, including outside sales, inside sales and others.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Related Field
  • 5+ years of marketing, development, sales, or product management experience
ideally in the Die Industry or similar consumables product segment
  • Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the
ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive
decision-making.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Comfortable in presenting to large and diverse groups of people
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Suite of products, SAP B1, SalesForce and project management software
  • Experience with best practices and lean principles.
  • Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target
buyers and users.
  • Subject matter expert/industry experience a strong plus.
  • This position requires domestic and international travel to customers & CPM sites
