JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Engineer for Industrial Solutions (IS) combines technical expertise with strong commercial skills to drive business growth.

This role is responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing tailored technical solutions, and promoting IS products and services across LATAM markets. The position acts as a key link between engineering teams and customers, ensuring solutions meet technical specifications while delivering value and profitability.

Your mission is to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share across key end markets, including animal feed, oilseed, biomass, pet food, rendering and industrial.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales support
  • Identify customer requirements and wishes via the Area Sales Manager/Agents;
  • Prepare quotations, including selecting suitable equipment and/or system design concepts, collecting purchase prices, and performing calculations
  • Specify delivery times;
  • Include payment options, warranty provisions, and service in quotations;
  • Answer questions from customers, agents, partners, and sister companies;
  • Collect technical data from the customer, such as capacities, available space, budgets, and the like;
  • Support the Area Sales Manager on site when necessary.
  • Interact with Salesforce CRM
  • Use SAP B1 for quote and order processing.


Order processing
  • Drawing up order confirmations and final calculations based on requests from area managers and/or agents;
  • Organizing kick-off meetings to check the order confirmation.
  • Ensuring correct order confirmation and submitting it to the General Sales Manager for signature and dispatch to the customer.
  • Transfer final orders to the Order Processing department, which enters the order into the system;
  • Record commercial agreements and follow up on any specifications;
Project monitoring and communication
  • Monitor the progress of the project until the down payment has been received; for example:
    • Receive responses to outstanding issues.
    • Monitoring that deposits are made on time.
    • Expectation management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibility
 
  • Issuing quotations and order confirmations in a timely manner;
  • Monitoring the quotation and order process in order to ensure optimal results;
  • Ensuring that all project-related documents required for transfer to production are returned and filed in the dossier. 
  • Effectiveness and efficiency of the execution of the work.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
  • Strong Business aptitude with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage audiences from technical specialists to senior management.
  • Experienced with ERP and CRM systems, plus strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data analysis in Excel.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, driven and results-oriented.
  • Outcome-focused, skilled at managing competing priorities and performing under pressure.
  • Proficient in sales, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Detail-oriented with 3+ years of experience in Commercial, Sales, or Operations within Food, Agriculture, Bioenergy, Industrial, or Waste sectors, including industrial equipment sales.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade documentation.
  • Ability to work full-time from São Paulo office and comfortable with business travel (10–20%).

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical and electrical related)
  • Experience in mechanics and electrical will be considered an advantage
  • Experience sales/supporting technical solutions, +2 years
  • Residence in São Paulo area, Brazil
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must be able to communicate  in English fluently and advanced Spanish is a plus
  • High integrity and ethics.
